What can I expect during my virtual consult
Once you have decided that a virtual consult fits your needs, contact me. Your consult will be scheduled within 24-48 hours of the request at a time that is mutually convenient. Prior to our consult, you will need to complete a consent and an intake form. The intake form helps me learn more about you and you baby to provide you with the best care possible. All fees are due before the start of the consult. Once your consult date is confirmed, you will be sent a link for payment.

You will be provided with a link and a password to enter the virtual office where the consult will take place.

During the virtual visit, a face to face consult will take place where you be able to ask questions. I may need to observe the inside of your infant's mouth or your breast. It will also be possible to observe a feeding. At the conclusion of the visit will discuss how we can improve your breastfeeding experience.

Although the goal of the consult is for resolution of your breastfeeding concern, this is not always possible in the virtual environment. If I am unable to help you resolve this concern, I will do my best to find a local lactation professional in your area.
How do you keep my information secure?
Protection of your privacy is our priority and responsibility as your health care provider. We have taken all the necessary steps to keep you information secure and protected.

All forms and documentation are completed over a secure server and stored in a secure network.

Virtual consults take place on a Health Information Portability and Accontability Act (HIPAA) complaint plateform to protect your privacy. You will be provided with a link and a password to enter the virtual office where the consult will take place.
What is E-Support?
E-Support is a virtual lactation service that provides unlimited access to lactation support for your baby's first year of life. You can call, text, or email me as much as you would like.

Support is available from 8am to 8pm. Any calls/messages recieved after hours will be promply returned the following morning.

Will insurance reimburse for my consult?
Unfortunately, the insurance company does not reimburse for virtual services. Breastfeeding services are eligible for payment through flexible spending accounts, and may count as an itemized deduction during tax season. Formula remains a non-reimburseable expense.
